JAVARA Sago is a starch extracted from the spongy center of tropical palm stems known as Metroxylin sagu. Sago is one of the main staple food of the majority indigenous people in Eastern Indonesia. As endemic plant that grows in swamp areas, Sago tree is wildly grown and is a sustainable source of carbohydrate as they grow very quickly in clumps of different ages. Similar to bananas, they propagate naturally on their own.
