Opor is Indonesian white curry, originated in Java island. There are variations of opor, the common one being chicken and egg opor. Tofu opor is also popular for vegetarian. . It is popular especially during the Moslem New Year Holiday. It is usually eaten with rice or ketupat/lontong (compressed rice cake in banana leaves).
The method to cook opor is boil chicken in 900ml of water. Use only 2.5 cup (600ml) of broth. Add Bamboe spice mix, cook for 10 mins over medium heat. Add the coconut mlik, stir cook for 5 mins . Serve hot.
Opor ingredients are coriander, white pepper, cumin, Lemongrass, galangal, shallot, garlic, salt and vegetable oil.
